My saferent report, a background check asked by my landlord, reported 3 evictions that are not actually evictions. I just moved out from those houses then. Because of this inaccurate information, no landlord wants to give in rent any properties, neither houses nor apartments. I tried to dispute with the saferent company but they told me that this information was reported to them from previous landlords so they have no reason to change it. the owners of the previous houses don’t answer my phone so I can’t reach out to them. Please, suggest a way to resolve my issue, I need to move in as soon as possible.

To address the issue with your saferent report, consider obtaining proof of your move-out dates and non-eviction status from the previous houses. Compile any relevant documentation, such as lease termination records or statements from former landlords, to support your dispute. If unsuccessful in reaching your previous landlords by phone, try alternative communication methods such as email or written correspondence. Additionally, consult with legal aid services or tenant advocacy groups who may offer guidance or assistance in rectifying inaccuracies on your rental history report. Taking these steps can help resolve the issue promptly and improve your chances of securing a new rental property.
